Anyone tried it? I'm assuming you can use the same component-to-vga adapter that people use on the X1. I don't remember if it was a review of the Z1, but I remember reading a review of a projector lately where they said HD (720p/1080i) looked better when going through VGA vs. the component input. I was curious if it would make 480p look better too. I also thought it may be a solution for one of the glitches I see about the Z1 (poor color uniformity, vertical banding and horizontal line jaggies).

I don't know that you can. I assume you can if the Sanyo Z1's VGA has sync on green. I believe that the InFocus X1 uses its VGA port to accept progressive component video (RGB, sync on green).
