component video to cat5E

I have located a device that seems to do a credible job converting Component video @ 720P to cat 5 (cat 5 run of 200') and back again. I checked the specs and found the video bandwidth listed @ only 8Mhz. This doesn't seem to be enough bandwidth to do HD but the device works. Does anyone know of a lab I can send the device to and have it tested? I don't want to spec it and later find out it has a bug. Also, what are your thoughts on needed bandwidth for 720P. I always thought a minimum of 40Mhz was needed.
