I just bought my first projection TV (Mits 48413).

Is it safe to put a receiver and DVD player on the top, one in each corner?

The folks at Mits say it is, anyone have any different advice or tips?

Thanks!

Placing equipment around the edges where the frame can support most of the weight is usually OK. I have a 65" Mits and it has had a fairly large and heavy center channel speaker sitting on its front edge and angled down for two and half years and I haven't noticed any sagging yet. I would avoid placing heavy objects near the top center of the TV where the frame is less sturdy, however.

I've had a 65" Sony for two+ years with DVD Changer on one edge, HT Receiver on the other edge, and HD Satellite receiver and Center Channel Speaker in the center. No problems.
