Oops... Component, not Composite (sorry).

Hi Guys!

Would you happen to know if there are any good acquisition cards on the market - be they consumer or professional grade - which accept either component or RGB/VGA input?

Thanks in advance!

Are there any Graphics cards that have a Component or RGB ViVo feature?

Thanks!

The Matrox Meteor II/MC is a professional-grade RGB capture board. With software it's currently about $1400. I'm selling a used one for less if you're interested.

It seemed to be the lowest-cost option out there when I was shopping for a board like it last year. It can digitize 60Hz 720x480p nicely, though you'll have to write software to use it in an HT setting.

Thanks Steve!

I would have been very interested if only it had come with dedicated bug-free software: I don't do code. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/frown.gif

Actually, I just bought a second-hand NTSC decoder at under 5% of list New Toy and will be needing a more simple way of feeding its Component or RGB output to my HTPC for scaling up to high resolution.

If you've heard of an easier system, even if it requires an external box or new graphics card, thanks for letting me know. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hi folks,

Back on the trail, trying to track down a more user friendly RGB acquisition card. Something that doesn't require writing code to operate.

Thanks for your suggestions. http://www.avsforum.com/ubb/smile.gif
