I am debating whether to purchase a HTPC or go with a new dedicated DVD player to power my Marantz VP12S2 projector. I don't really understand what the advantages and disadvantages of going the HTPC route are. Am I going to get get better image quality if my projector AND the DVD player are doing 3:2 pulldown and the DVD player is doing progressive scan, or does it matter?


Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks
