computer surround sound

Hello, I am looking for some speakers for my computer. I just got a x-fi sound card for xmas and I would like to take advantage of it's capabilities. I would like 7.1 or a 5.1 setup but I have a feeling that none of the "kits" that are out now have that great of sound.


Are there any recommendations that you might have as far as a set up for 5.1 or 7.1 or maybe an alternative?

If you have heard any of these side by side I would appreciate any input that you are willing to offer.


I know that they will not sound anywhere near as good as a true home theater set up and I can not afford anything over $350 so it limits me to these "boxed setups," well I think it does. Thanks.
