Confused about extended warranty purchase? Samsung TV.

I just bought a Samsung UN60F8000 and like it a lot. I'm more of a Sony XBR guy but really couldn't afford their top of the line gear anymore. I want to get an extended warranty and have two choices really. MACK warranty which cost $164 for 5 years, but I heard lots of horror stories with this place. Lots of people getting the run around and MACK trying to weezle out of helping people. Not good. Then I heard of SquareTrade, which is a lot more money a whopping $300 for 4 years. Then I visit Costo website and see a SquareTrade warranty for TV's over $1000 in price for $99 for 3 years. Can't beat that. But I can't find anywhere that it is for Costco members only or not. Has anyone ever purchased this Costco SquareTrade warranty from Costco and didn't buy the TV there? I just received the TV last week, so I have a little time to decide. I know most of the extended warranty companies are brutal to deal with and it is the last thing I want to have a problem with down the road. Thank god I never had to use an extended warranty before, I just want to make the right decisions.

Thanks.
