Confused, need advice (about buying Samsung50B860)

I've narrowed down my TV search to two TV's: the Samsung PN50B860 and the LG47LH90.

In a perfect world, I'd just order the PN50B860 because I really love that TV: great colors, deals with light a bit better than the Panasonic G10 (and no black level level problems) but I am very worried about the infamous buzz, and I'd like to order online to get the best deal.

On the other hand, I really like the LG47LH90, it's a tremendous LED backlit TV with a ton of pluses, but side-by-side in the store, I think it'd take the Samsung for the color accuracy and viewing angles.

So, I guess if I were to get the PN50B860, would anyone have any tips about where/who to order from so I could return it if it comes with the buzz? Maybe some of you have experience with this, given the problems this year.

I'm in the same predicament as you, as Samsung is giving me my money back from my current TV that has been problematic to say the least.

I went into best buy today, and noticed the PN50860 on display, and after hearing all the noise about the buzzing, I decided to put my ear towards the back of the set to see.

Nothing. Just the faintest sound of electricity.

I'm seriously considering both of these sets, and perhaps might try buying it at Best Buy and plugging the TV in before I take it home to make sure it doesn't BUZ.

YMMV. Good Luck

I received my PN50b860 exactly a week ago from Amazon, and--knock on wood--I have had absolutely no buzzing, except for the normal plasma sound if you put your ear truly within inches of the back. The colors are great, and I think the blacks are almost as good as a new Panasonic which means that they are probably better than an older Panny. I admit it may be a bit of a gamble to order one, but if you receive a non-buzzer you will own a superb set.
