I haven't found any documentation yet on just what signals that the Pioneer VSX-1120 can convert other than "virtually all"

So, has anyone tried connecting a VGA/RGB source such as a laptop with RGB to Component plugs with any success?

Just trying to find out whether or not I need an extra box first before I start just plugging things in.

Thanks!

I wrote to Pioneer's tech support and they responded that VGA will -not- work, it needs to be in Component, Composite, or HDMI before it goes into the back.

Just thought I'd post it if anyone else ever has the same question

You'd need to convert the RGB VGA signal to YPbPr component video and you can't do that with just a simple cable. There has to be an electrical conversion to make it happen. Why more receivers don't have a VGA connection, I dunno.
