Hello all,

It was recomended to me that when I purchase my projector I will need to hook up all my sources directly to it. I can't see this as a viable option as I will have 5+ wires running up my wall. I have a Yamaha RX-V730 reciever that I have my PS2 (playstation) ,Dvd player,Computer and others hooked up to. Can I not keep the same configuration and just run a video out (like I do now to my tv) to the projector? Then I can switch video sources (as I do now) via my reciever. I'd figure when I switched from say dvd to playstation it would do the same on my projector which would be connected via the monitor out (component video) on my reciever. Can't understand why I was told otherwise seems to make sense to me. At the link below you can see the back of my reciever to see the various ins and outs if you feel like recomending anything. My computer has an Svideo out.my dvd player has component and optical. The ps2 has.......hmmmmm what does it have?

Not excactly my reciever but the inputs and outputs are identical.

Thank you in advance

Cheers
