Considering buying an A2, have questions.

I am probably going to purchase a Toshiba HD-A2 next week when the rebate hits. For those who have H2's, are there any things I should know/be aware of in terms of the negative, such as loading times, picture jitters, or HDMI problems?

Any help is useful.

Other than an initial boot up time of maybe 35 seconds, I find it reacts like a normal DVD player. I am using HDMI and don't have issues with it.

My boot up is about 22 seconds then I think less than that after a movie goes in. I had an XA1 and the load time drove me crazy. I love the A2. I highly recommend it particularly at the latest prices!

I think there are a few funky units out there but if so take it back. Mine plays flawlessly on HD-DVD and DVDs but for some reason has audio dropouts during CD playback using HDMI. Toshiba is replacing my unit with a new one. So I'm not to worried about it. This appears to be a rare problem from what I've read.

Good luck and enjoy! I've already convinced two of my friends to pick one up this week. There are going to be a lot of new players on the market in the coming weeks.
Remember to wait until May 20th. Toshiba will be offering a $100 instant rebate along with the 5 free DVD's. It will be interesting to see what sort of pricing shakes out.

Since I bought mine last week I would estimate prices to fall! Just like when I buy stocks
