This weekend I began my journey on the road to a dedicated HT in my modest Semi-detach.



Here is the view looking through the entrance into the theater towards the front wall:

You can see part of the outer wall and some of the ducts I had to move with insulated flex ducting. On the right side, you can see a couple of obstacles I'm trying to figure out how to get around. I'm contemplating building the wall out far enough so that when finished with drywall, soundboard and GOM fabric, it would be flush with the lip on the electrical panel. This would also serve to cover the drainage pipe further down the wall so I don't have to build a column. I'd put an access door on it of course so I can get in there if need be w/o breaking down the wall. Does anyone have an idea how much room between the stud and the 'lip' I should give for the above wall configuration?

I'm shooting for a completion date of mid April. I'll be sure to keep you guys posted with my progress.
