After owning my house for 3 years, I am finally getting started on my home theater. The previous owners had begun turning the attic space into a livable area but didn't get too far. I'm working on it as I can afford and it has been about 120 degrees up there for the past few weeks so the going is slow. The area I am working with for the theater is 21' x 14'. I will probably narrow the room at the screen to 12' to keep the room symetrical and then use the entire 14' at the seating area to have more of an aisle. Ceiling height will be 8' at the walls and trayed to 9' at the center. So far, most of the wafer board has been replaced by tounge and groove plywood and I am working on re-routing some electrical wires that cross the stairway opening. The opening is to the left of the platform and a hallway will be to the left where you currently see the fluffy insulation (not the rolls):

The hump is the vaulted ceiling of the living room protruding into the attic. I'm saving the space behind the hump for a later project:
