When I turned on my TV last night, a DirecTV message was displayed at the bottom of the screen that said, "Contact customer service to activate," but before I could figure out what it was referring to, the message went away, and I could not duplicate the message no matter what I did. Everything seems to be working fine, and I have no email waiting for me. Does anyone know what this likely referred to? I had hoped it was to activate ESPN-HD, but I'm sure if that was it, there would be a zillion posts on the AVS HDTV Programming forum talking about it. For what it's worth, my DirecTV receiver is the ProScan PSHD-105 (clone of the RCA DTC-100).
