Does anyone have any sugestion or solution on how to control ceiling fan/lighting with Control 4 home automation? Is there any remote interface?

You can do it several ways. First, if it is hard wired to a switch, you can replace that switch with a C4 switch. If it is an IR based remote, you can program that into the controller directly.

Note that the choice of the automated switch is usually important as many will make a fan motor buzz. This is mostly with a dimmable switch. An "appliance relay switch" doesn't typically have this problem as it just turns on / off the power absolutely. But, of course, this doesn't allow for speed control.

Thank you for the information, would you recomend I use the 3 or 6 button switch in order to operate lights and fan speed separately? would the 3 or 6 button switch cause the same problems as the dimmer if i try and vary the the output at fixed settings?

Keep in mind, the 3 and 6 button "switch" is more like a a 3 or 6 button contoller. Is does not actually switch power. You must have another true "switch" to link the buttons to.
