Most of us who own a 503 and a mid-priced, IR-based, remote for controlling all the components in the system know the frustrations of not having discrete IR codes for things like aspect ratio settings.

I was wondering if anyone out there is controlling a 503 with a high-end control system, like a Crestron or anything similar. My limited understanding of these systems is that they control devices via an RS-232 interface (if that's available on the device). Since I'm pretty sure that the 503 can be interfaced in this manner, I was wondering if this offers the user specific control over things that are not discretely controlled via IR commands - like aspect ratios.

Anyone have experience with this?

SM1 - Set screen size to 4:3

SM2 - Set screen size to Full

SM3 - Set screen size to Zoom/Partial
