i have a barco data 701 that i really like the image i was able to get out of it. However ,i think I could get a sharper image if I could narrow down the grid convergence lines. i'm going to pick up a set of HD-145's ,but wanted to try to narrow the grid prior to. what is the best way to get my lines narrowed down. I think this is referred to as blooming.

Astigmatism, lense flapping, optical focus, and electronic focus all impact the sharpness (or thickness of your crosshatches).

The resolution you are running also affects how thick the grid lines are when you are using genlocked patterns.
Which tubes does your 701 have 07ms? It should be good for about xga with those tubes. Which lenses does it have hd6? 144/145's are better but beyond what resolution you really need for 07ms tubes. Tubes are your limiting factor.
