I'm running into some problems burning a Blu-Ray disc, I figure I'm missing something simple here but I'm hoping someone can help. I have several .ts streams recorded off my Cable DVR (1080i, AC3 audio) that I've been trying to burn to Blu-Ray for playback in my ps3. I read several threads on other forums that stated using TsMuxer would work, however I still get the This Video cannot be played error...I also tried TMPG DVD Authoring Works Pro's Blu-Ray mode, burning a BD-R DL disc using it. Same result.

Is there any way to convert these .ts streams to something that WILL play on the PS3, or am I going to have to convert the .ts to AVCHD and burn it that way? If so what is the best way to go from .ts to AVCHD without sacrificing quality?

In both cases I burned the BDMV & Certificate folders to BD-R's, and in both cases the PS3 recognizes the disc as a BDMV but won't play it. I have several homemade Blu-Ray discs that play fine on my PS3, but I didn't author them and believe they are AVCHD instead of MPEG2.

Anyone have any suggestions?

.ts usually plays fine on PS3 (I have close to a hundred .ts 1080p videos and they usually play fine). There are a few times it mimics your problem. I have found out that it happens when the video stream within the .ts switches from 1080p to 720p etc. Not certain. But in any case, for those videos - I use Handbrake to convert them to mp4 ... and it plays !
