Sorry, but that stretch-o-vision garbage on TNT-HD is not deserving of being called HD.
Or were you watching a different TNT-HD on which they showed Copland in proper HD rather than stretch-o-vision?

lol you know what I mean just seeing it on made me think about how good of a movie it is and wanting a copy on BR! Yes TNT HD is not good... the sports is but the movies generally are not.
I accidentally clicked on this thread because I thought you misspelled Aaron "Copeland".

Oh well, I guess Stallone could inspire a new piece called "Fanfare for the Simple Man"
Still nothing on Blu for this movie?
It's distributed by Alliance in Canada. If you can find a Canadian company that delivers to the U.S. the Alliance version is the theatrical not the director's cut and doesn't include any extra features but PQ is definitely a step up over SD and it includes a DTS master audio 5.1 track.

I've attached a link below the Amazon.ca which delivers to the U.S., however, it is for a triple pack that includes Pride & Glory and Righteous Kill in addition to Copland. The price isn't bad thought $32.89.

Anyway, good luck.
The Alliance release appears to have been discontinued shortly after it was released, and as you can see that triple pack has a long wait for stock. eBay has some copies for decent prices. I took some screenshots of it when I rented it.

There's a German release too but apparently it's 1080i50.

Miramax owns the US rights so it'll probably be a long, long wait...
Bummer, that was actually a very well-done film.
The Canadian one isn't that bad at all, I've watched it once.
Do the added scenes in the directors cut really add much?
