I put a shop bought DVD film through DVDFab and dragged the VOBs onto my portable HDD and played through MPC and picture and voice were both in sync.

Now this is where the problem lies and I reckon a difficult one to solve. All my other DVDs have been copied off TV through a Sony DVD recorder. I ripped them the same as above but when I play them back picture OK but voice out of sync.

Any answers on this as I don't think it's the player software, because it only happens on films generated off the TV.

Look forward to any help with thanks.

Try using DGIndex to see what the audio delay of the MPEG stream is. I suspect the DVD had an AC3 audio track that you selected, but perhaps the TV material is simply MPEG2 audio. AC3 audio tracks have 0ms delay in the VOB whereas MPEG2 audio does have a delay (0 to 35ms typically) that would be noticable is not accounted for during playback.
