I've been playing some of these HDTV clips, specifically Coral Reef which also happens to be the most taxing. I can play the 720p version with very little studdering using Media Player and Cineplayer however the 1080p version studders most of the way through. Now if I run the 1080p using Ulead DVD player it's perfectly smooth, absolutley no studder, even during the opening scene with the plane, in fact my cpu is hovering around 90% most of the time while the other two players peg it at 100%!

I've also noticed when I start the player up it will load the whole movie during the first 3 seconds of play, my system cache goes up 100gb and than there is no HD activity for the rest of movie unlike the other two players that continuously hit the drive throughout the clip. When Media player or Cineplayer start up my system cache either goes down or stays the same, just the opposite.

Just curious if anyone can explain why this player is so efficient?

P4 2.66 ghz, 1GB memory.
