Looking at planning out this build soon. Using 2'x4' insulation boards (OC703, Roxul RHT80 2" are my options).


Now I see people creating 8 triangles out of the base sheet...could you get away with cutting smaller and getting 16 pieces out of the sheet? I know they obvious smaller size will reduce the "properties" of the trap...but is this going to reduce so much that it will be not even be worth it?


8 pieces from a board create triangles that are approx. 16.5 on two sides and then 24" across the front

Use pink fluffy for the big/deep corner broadband traps, not the denser stuff....and size/depth does matter for helping on the modal waves ringing reduction...

Learn from me....back in 2011 I used too dense material in my corner's....they will be changed over in 2016.....

This is the first I have read/seen with the pink usage....always seems to be some board or 703, etc...Confusing to say the least haha


So what I am seeing is that I could just get some pink fluffy for my floor to ceiling front corner traps (back corners are not going to be as much due to room logistics).
