Can anyone give a guess of what to expect as a cost for a 8 zone system with one pair of speakers in each zone and one cat5 run from each keypad all to a home run location in a 4600 square foot two story house? I will put in components and keypads after taking ownership. Same with speaker installation.

I am buying a house that is being built and it is 1800 sf and one of the options was 3 zones with one pair of speakers in each zone. The option was $7000. I did a different option and went for 7 zones of wiring only and it is running me $6000 (this option includes cat 5 to each zone and multiple runs of rg6 with 2 rooms being wired for 5.1 and the rest of the rooms wired for 1 pair of speakers. No equipment was included in this option). Hope this helps.

Expect it to be a little costly because of the fact that it is a two story. They are a pain in the butt to wire.
