I bought an LCD monitor(1280x 1024).When I fed it with 480p,720p signals(Y PbPr had been previously converted to RGB by Faroudja ),no problem for the pictures to be displayed well. But when 1080i HDTV signal(also converted to RGB) was fed,the monitor didn't support.

I read specifications of another LCD TV set. It's resolution is 1280 x 728,but it CAN support 480p/720p/1080i.How CAN it?

Could my 1280 x 1024 LCD monitor display 1080i signal?If yes,how to?

Thanks everybody!

The easiest way is to convert the 1080i signal to 720p, before it gets to the display. Use the settings in the source device.

My 1080i signal is directly from satellite HDTV via receiver, going through "PASS THROUGH" channel of faroudja(converting Y PbPr to RGB).Where could I place my hand to convert it to 720p?Thanks!

Set your satellite receiver to output all signals as 720p (you do this in the setup menu of your receiver). "PASS THROUGH" allows the receiver to output whatever resolution it receives (480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i) unchanged, and your display cannot handle 1080i signals.
