Countdown to Pirates BDs commercials on TV!

I've seen on more than one channel countdown commercials to this Tuesday for the Pirates BDs. I saw a long one on TNT-HD, IIRC, and a shorter one on UHD (ironically enough) during last night's Battlestar Galactica. I was amazed. This is rather unprecedented for such a new format, don't you think? I was really excited to see them, and I think it bodes well for sales and for Disney's continued support for the format.

(It should also be noted that Universal and Toshiba are starting to really exploit UHD for commercial time for HD DVD, including their new spot featuring the guy from The Sopranos.)

I dont remember what channel I was watching, but yes, I saw one as well.

Specifically for BD only, mentioning the HD extras and exclusives, and hyping it as "In 3 Days..."

I don't know, I thought it was pretty cool.

saw one on HDNet..similar to the LOTR commercials they used to run.

You've obviously missed out on the huge one on the sopranos actor advertising HD-DVD

It's nice to know that BD (and HD DVD) are taking baby steps towards the mainstream.
