I am just about to jump off and try my hand at CQC. It looks like everything needs to be custom built... are there any HAI templates up for grabs I could use as a starting point? I think it would be much easier to build from a base rather than reinventing the wheel.

(I am assuming that somehow templates/designs/whatever they are called can be saved and exchanged as files and them imported into CQC somehow.)

Thanks!

Look in CQC's forums. there are many templates that users have contributed, some of which are much higher quality than an HAI UI.

It will still be lot of work and learning curve, but if you are graphically challenged, a big step forward towards a good looking design.

There are user templates available in the CQC forums. But it isn't going to be as simple as loading them into a new system. Unless you had exactly the same hardware and named the devices with the exact same names that the original creator of the templates had, you'll still end up heavily modifying the templates to work with your hardware. The flexibility and capabilities of CQC is also a drawback when it comes to trying to use other people's templates.

Be sure to view the Tutorial Videos located on CQC web site (under Support - Tutorial Videos). It will give you a good idea of how easy it is to create your own templates.

I've imported other people's templates myself, but more to get their graphics than anything else. I still end up having to redo most of the underlying command structure to work with my equipment.
