I want to create play lists, but I'm frustrated. It looks like I have to use 3 different software apps to rip, organize, and control playback on the AT.

I use WMP9 for ripping CDs, but when I create play lists using WMP9, these aren't recognized by the AT. What gives?

So what is the app I need to use to create play lists that can be read by the AT?

Thanks,

Duffin

I don't know wmp but you need to create M3Us. Notepad will do it for you. lol

seriously, musicmatch, the bundled app with the AT, realone and lots of other will do it. You'll need to create the playlist in m3u format. each app is different. An M3U is simply a list of the full filenames (including the network name - \\\\foo\\music\\My Music\\xxx artist\\yyy album\\zzz clip.mp3)

I actually create them on my linux server using scripts. If you do that, dont forget that the AT is braindead when it comes to line terminators and needs a CR+LF. I forget this regularly and scratch my head over it for 20 minutes...
