I own a Theta Cassanova which provides NUMEROUS ways of setting up crossovers. I'm looking for some pointers to guide me in the right direction so I don't spend weeks trying to listen to all potential settings to determine which one is best. I realize that my ears will be the final judge, but all these choices are daunting. I'd like to narrow the choices down and then start listening to determine what sounds best.

My equipment consists of:

Theta Cassanova prepro

Front spkrs: Proac Tablette 50 (38Hz-20kHz +/- ?? dB)

Subwoofer: AV123 MFW-15 (18Hz-200Hz +/- 4dB)

The Theta provides the ability to configure different crossover settings for different inputs. So, I can have one setting when listening to music, and another for listening to movies. I use the system exclusively for music and movies.

Here is a list of the 3 types of crossovers I can choose from along with settings for each crossover type that can be adjusted:

Phase Perfect

-------------

Frequency: 40,50,60,80,100,120,160 (Hz)

High Pass Slope: 6,12,18,24 (dB)

Phase: +,-

Butterworth

-----------

Frequency High Pass: 40,50,60,80,100,120,160 (Hz)

High Pass Slope: 12,18,24 (dB)

Frequency Low Pass: 40,50,60,80,100,120,160 (Hz)

Low Pass Slope: 12,18,24 (dB)

Phase: +,-

Linkwitz-Riley

-------------

Frequency: 40,50,60,80,100,120,160 (Hz)

High/Low Pass Slope: 12,24 (dB)

Phase: +,-

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if this is not the correct forum for this post, please let me know which one is. (Seems like crossover questions can "crossover" into multiple forums -- pun intended).

I can also provide excerpts from the Theta user manual if it will help.
