Depends partially on your viewing ratio (further back gives less). At 2.0x the screen width I would expect you to be fine, but I don't know at what distance you would find it objectionable.
I should have posted that info. Projector will be at 1.4 screen widths and I sit about 1.9-2.0 screens widths.
How much variation is there? I've had several lcd's in the past that had variations on white fields that ranged from a blueish tint on the left side of screen, fairly accurate in the middle, and a reddish tint on the right side of the screen. I could see this shading on ramps and ire patterns, but have never noticed it in actual material.
since i am well acquainted with shading and color temperature uniformity on lcd's, is a crt on high power comparable to this??
