Are there any available today? Those that can take a 480i, 480p, 720p and 1080i and display all of them at 720p!

Suggest you check the chart of RPTV specs at Twice.com. Don't believe there are 720p-native CRT models any more. -- John

Thanks
Purchase a CRT RP and an external scaler. It's not important to have a CRT that's natively 1280x720, all you need is a set that accepts a 720p signal. If you can't find one that accepts 720p, than an external scaler is a good solution.

So, if a set accepts 720p, how does it display the image, converted to 1080i, or as 720p itself?

Most sets today sideconvert to their native resolution. Others, like Mits CRTs, won't display non-native input it at all on the component inputs.
