CSI Las Vegas: 5/20

Well now. That was clever: a genetic chimera with 'confused' DNA almost getting away with rape/murder. Not as far out as a long list of chimera movies, but a different twist.

The CSI Vegas investigators have tackled 'vampires', devil cults, and other oddities I've forgotten.

What's next? How about a grayish-skinned criminal visiting Vegas from Rosewell, NM? Other ideas? -- John

This was a decent episode for a sub-par season 4. Compared to the last two seasons, this season has been a let-down, except for a few episodes. I'm hoping CSI:NY will be good--Gary Sinise is a good actor; let's just hope they write interesting/inventive scripts.
I didn't particularly like the look of NY though. It was shot in a much more grey environment, with a lot of the color washed. I know it's supposed to be the "gritty city" but that doesn't mean I don't want some color in my HD.

I thought the finale last night was way too confusing, with too many superfluos characters. How many useless brothers did we need to see? *shrug* I've enjoyed Miami a lot more this year, which is really surprising.
Agreed on the 'CSI:NY' look. 'Without a Trace' has that kinda blue/grey look too. I guess TV producers have decided NYC is a blue/grey city. Re: 'CSI:Miami', I don't like Caruso. He comes off as self-righteous & show-offy. Just my opinion.
I thought that DNA thing was a lil odd.

I need to see all the CBS Drama's Season finalles.

CSI was yesterday, Without a Trace was yesterday. CSI Miami is Monday, and Cold Case is Sunday. Anybody else planning on catching all these final episodes

Your just jealous because Caruso's one liners are better than yours will ever be!

Right, like Caruso thought about those one liners all by himself

Caruso is the worse actor any show can have. I was so happy when NYPD Blue gave him the slip and now watching him on CSI:Miami gives me the creeps.

If he just had a little humility now and then I could see him as more human. I wonder how much he practices the "hand on the hip" thing in front of the mirror?
He he :)
I thought this episode was better than most this season. I like CSI: Miami too and NY will be the front runner next season in my opinion.
Yes, exactly. Hopefully, the writers can keep both shows interesting. Beyond the addition of 'NY' to the CSI line-up, I think it'll be overkill--like all the 'Law & Order' shows.
Caruso reminds me of that guy in L&O criminal intent, the one who knows everything:D
I would like to see Caruso and the guy from L&O Criminal Intent trying to have a conversation, each one trying to upstage and outwit the other....

CSI (all of them) keep writing in the obvious flaws of the show: 1- exotic trace evidence (the flem in Miami this week which led them to NYC?) 2-case is always circumstancial (suspect would walk with a good lawyer) & 3-suspect always confesses at the end of the show.

I have seen good CSI's in the first season that didn't depend on these crutches to get by. Get better writers.

This was the first HD show that I recorded using my new Tivo. I thought it was the Tivo. I said it doesn't look as sharp. My wife was like, how does that look bad to you?? I guess my 20/12 vision is a bad thing now.

I will re-run Avia again just to be sure.

Am I the only one with access to a search engine? Vincent D'Onofrio is that guy and I think he is an incomparably better actor than that other guy. Remember him as Edgar, the ill tempered alien **** roach in "Men in Black"? How about the most evil bad cop ever in "Strange Days"? There are many more roles ("The Player", "The Salton Sea", "Full Metal Jacket") but what makes his work in L & O interesting is that his character is so prominently flawed. His hatred of his father (speaking about the fictional character, I don't know anything about the actor) has messed him up more than once.

Sorry, I didn't know I had to use the search engine for an actors name before I post a reply! (Give me a break!) I can see everyone knows who I was talking about!

Let me go, I have to go memorize actors names before my next reply!

Whoops, and Navi NCIS is Tuesday. Gotta catch all the season finalles ;)
even though Without a Trace is shot in that blue/gray NY feel, there is also a lot of color in many scenes as well...the CSI: Miami/NY from last week didn't seem to have any color at all for the NY scenes...maybe that'll change...they need to find a good balance like Without a Trace.
I agree completely. They went a little too "NYPD Blue" grey, and not "Without a Trace" grey :)

Actually, surprisingly enough, I've noticed plenty of color in HD NYPD Blue, and one of the consistently best looking pictures of any HD program, even better than the CSIs and certainly better looking than any other show on ABC.
