Here's a poorly formatted (Use careful eyeball deduction to figure it out!) eMAIL table I recently received from Pany on their DVD players, including their "maybe exciting", IMHO, upcoming RP82 and XP50:

thanks for the update, however, this was too much to try to decipher. Could you possibly email them back and get a better table to post? and also, could you inquire about when exactly they expect the rp82 hit retail shops? thanks in advance for all your work.

chrisbui,

I've already asked for a resend of the table and they declined, asking that I/we please call the Pany phone number in the eMAIL for additional information and clarification.

By matching the number of players (7) and their relative sentence position against the relative sentence position of each feature, you can figure out which feature goes with which player. What you don't see is "what or how good" the MPEG decoder will be in the RP82 and XP30/XP50, you don't get confirmation that they will indeed be using the Faroudja deinterlacer, and of course you don't know "how good" the variable scaling will be.......the usual major stuff for me. I do like some of the other features showing up on paper for them, too.
