I am in the process to build a front stage, I like the 2:35:1 setup of screen, so if I purchase a 1080P projector Panasonic 3000AU, do I need a curved screen and lens?

You don't " need " a curved screen and lens, although you may want one. I'd suggest doing some reading in the 2.35:1 constant height threads - http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forumdisplay.php?f=117


You can also use a flat screen too.

Since the Panny 3000 will do 2.35 without an additional lense, you do not need a curved screen.


Are they cool? Absolutely. But not needed!

I helped install a screen for that Panny and flat works just fine.
