Has any Win32 programmer looked into writing a program for generating custom display INF files for Windows? I just took a quick peek at the file format and it appears to be pretty straightforward (typical INF file). I have worked a little with INF files to install a file system driver that I maintain. I could probably do it, but I do not have the time at the present.

This would seem to be an excellent tool for the HTPC.

Powerstrip generates INF files which can be installed under "Display Properties" in Windows?

Exactly. In Powerstrip 3 go to "display properties", select "create custom monitor driver" from pulldown menu and the program will lead you through the process.

Ahh, great. This must not be a known feature as I frequently see people requesting custom INFs for their RPTVs and projectors. Thanks for the info.
