I am able to post a few pics of the cinema in near completion. However, I must warn you that the pics came out rather poor. I will be using a digital camera later this week to capture a more complete and detailed look. I only post these as I have promised many here I would be providing pics this week. So please bare with me until I can provide better photography.

These pics show the cinema close to completion. Missing are the three additional Berkline Cinema seats on the rear riser and Rotel separates. I also did not include pics of the 159" Da-Lite Cosmo screen, these I will attempt with a better camera.

Is that an "Ash figurine" at the front of your theater?

Enjoy your cinema!
Amazing you were able to pick him out from the quality of that pic. Yes, That is the 18" Ash figure from "Army of Darkness", he is accompanied by the 18" LeatherFace from "Texas ChainSaw Massacre" I have since add the large Ent figure from "The Two Towers". The two first figures are standing in the old cubby holes built specifically for B&W 602 speakers. The speakers were removed and were hidden behind the drapery to either side of the screen to widen the sound stage.

Good news, my wife Cheryl just called and she will be bringing the digital camera home on loan from her employer. So I should be able to replace those lousy photos with some much improved shots.

Way COOL. Ok, quick question, how did you create the faux steal beams with rivets? Can't wait for more pic's

Will you be using an electronic drop down screen and adding a digital widescreen front projector? Just curious!

I recognized "Ash" as my 12 year old son CJ is a big Bruce Campbell fan and he has that exact same figurine.

CJ collects action figures and recently had one of his letters to the editor published in ToyFare magazine.

I also showed him your photos and he thinks your theater is "awesome".

The "Steel Beams" are actually MDF. The MDF was primed then a thick coat of Texture Spray was applied. Next step was Oil Based Aluminum Paint. Then to top it off, silver painted Wood Dowel Plugs available at Hobby Stores or Lowe's/Home Depot. Not captured in the photo is the integrated Blue lighting. The middle of the beams have pegboard (also finished in Faux Steel), behind the pegboard is blue ropelighting controlled via remote. Gives the look of a StarTrek effect.

Dan,

Already incorporated is a 159" Da-Lite Tensioned Cosmo-Electrol HDTV screen with HCDM material. Just upgraded it two weeks ago with a IR remote controller unit. This is mated to a Sony VPL-VW10HT LCD projector.

AWESOME!

I am hoping for a McFarlane Issued 18" T-800 Terminator Endoskeleton to be released after T:3, this would top off the Cyberdyne Cinema motif!!!

Darren,

All I can say is...

Damn!

I have been intrigued and waiting to see pics of your theater, and the final views are even more impressive than I expected. I look forward to you getting some high quality digital pics up - take lots of them!

A truly unique theater and amusement park quality look from what little I can see thus far. I feel like I am looking at a new addition to Universal Studios. Very nice job, I have been following some of your progress threads, so I know you put much effort into it, but it certainly appears that it was worth it!

If you want to add to the Cyberdyne cinema motif, preorder one of these:

Just great! Like I need help spending my $$$! :D That is INDEED very cool! I have only seen the T-800 Endo-Skull with the red illuminated LED eyes. Now, if I were to remove my Ash and LeatherFace figures...I could put one of each Endo-Skull in the display area.....for a mere $800+ However, after getting the Cyberdyne Cinema completed this May.....I guess I can start saving for them toys! She sure looks cool with the Blue LED's...how well she would match the current blue lighting in our cinema!

Thanks Empirebuilder!

I am truly ashamed of those lousy pics and the room was certainly a mess when I tried to photograph it. The wife brought the camera home two days ago..and brought the directions home today. So I will give it a shot tomorrow possibly.

Thanks again,

Darren,

Awesome theater. Glad to see you're completed.

I heard that, this weekend, you're inviting all KC members to your theater for a screening :D

Can't wait to get to my final stages - carpet next week!!!

A Terminator style HT, I'd have never thought of it. Gives me an idea...how about a PHANTASM HT? What would I do for that look? Oh well, I'm already commited to a greco-roman HT anyway though I may have a dummy of a killer sphere victim in mine, laying in the lobby. Maybe even a group of roosting spheres. I'm well aware of those large figures by McFarlane and Sideshow as well as many 12 inch resin and vinyl 'garage kits.' Os
