I just got the Sony KDF-42E2000. My question might be specific to this model family, but might also be applicable to Sony sets in general.


I don't use cable/ant inputs - just two component and two s-video inputs. I've got a remote with an "Input" button which allows me to cycle through the inputs. I've removed the unused external inputs from this list (SKIP), but I can't find a way to keep the Cable/Ant input from being part of the input cycle. Does anyone know of a way to do this?

You cannot "skip" the cable/ant inputs when cycling through using the input button. I use the Wega Gate key to select "External Inputs" and then choose the one I want. You can also get a programmable remote so when you choose "Watch a DVD'", for example, it will go to the input you want.
