Texas Instruments has a webpage of DLP cinema locations. Is there a webpage of D-ILA cinema? The JVC D-ILA webpage makes no mention of any theater chain that uses their technology.

JVC is just now getting a theater quality D-ILA.

The new 7000 lumen QXGA projector that Tom Stites

features on his web page:
http://www.large-screen.com/

could find its way into theaters. There were

some theaters the demoed the ILA, the predecessor

to the D-ILA.

The needs of home theaters and commercial theaters

are disparate enough, that one can not really draw

conclusions based on how far the various technologies

have penetrated the commercial theater market.

I don't know much about the organization of it, but I think that Sony and Kodak are the ones using the D-ILA technology to create their Digital Cinema competition for Texas Instruments.

I know that Sony demoed their high-def. D-ILA projector prototype at ShoWest in April, 2001.
