Does the powerbar have digital coaxial connects? If it does not, you won't be able to run the cable thru the power bar; the signal won't pass through (it thinks you are splitting it).

D* install question
Today I had D* installed at my house. They installed a oval dish w/triple lnb for HD content. I have a Monster Cable HTS-2000 surge/line conditioner that I run all my equipment thru. The installer said I should not use it for the sat. I think I should. Anyone know why he would say not to?

Satellite receivers can be finicky if you run the coax input through a conditioner or surge protector.
