Getting HD hooked up on Saturday, just wondering what possible receivers I might find myself with and the pros/cons of each one.

oh, will I need a hdmi to dvi connector?

The current receivers they are using are the LG 3200A, the Samsung SIR-TS360 and the RCA DTC-210 (which will eventually replace all other models). There is a ton of information on all of them posted here, all 3 have DVI outputs on them also.


Let me add they are cleaning out stock of the first 2 and possibly some of the LG clones, the RCA is the replacement for all of them, D* is going to D* branded receivers, no one else will be making them anymore.

I had mine installed about 3 weeks ago. I got the Sammy TS360 which came with a DVI cable (dvi cable not included as per the samsungusa.com website as well as the 360 owner's manual). I was on my way out to buy a dvi cable when the installer came. Also included in the box are component and S-video cables.


Also installed with HD package is a winegard GS1000 OTA antenna which did not pull any OTA digital channels. No line of sight where I'm located (according to installer) and I was credited $50 by D*.
