Hi guys

I just got a D50 and it turns on, and a few seconds latter turns off with the error code 29.

service manual just says power fault on A board. I have reseated the A board, and still does it.

I have just driven 2000km in a weekend to pick this unit up, so I would like it to work.

any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks guys.

It's a powerline problem on the "A" board.

Yeah, sorry - that's all the service manual says for that code. If re-seating it doesnt help I'm not sure what to suggest. I guess the potentially embarrassing question is to ask if it worked when you picked it up. You did have them turn it on and stuff before you paid for it, right?

I just noticed that you're in Austrailia, are you running it at 220V ? If so, if it's a "Q" (VPH-D50Q) and not a "QM" how did you convert it?

Thanks for the replies guys

I got that far too

but I have looked at the A board untill I am crosseyed, and I can not see any missing smoke or solder problems.

Could the problem be in the power supply?

It is an Australian model, and yes it worked before I picked it up, but it then enjoyed a 1000km trip in the car, which was smooth and uneventfull.

hope I can find the fault.

I can send it back, but that is not what I want to do.

it only has 500 hours on it and has a doubler.
