I have a D50 and a Faroudja NRS video processor with a universal board.

when i have the scan rate at 960p or higher ( max 1024p ) I get an intermittent very brief flicker which gives the screen a green hue.

Why does this not happen at 768p but does at 960p +. Is my machine at fault or my processor?

When I still had a D50 it looked best at 720p to me using a DVDO HD. Does the D50 even have the bandwidth for 960p?

Apart from the fact that 960p at ANY scanrate is too high for the D50, you didn't state what frequency you tried it at. Too high a frequency can cause damage to the projector.

The D50s bandwidth is 75MHz, but the maximum horizontal scan rate is 64Khz.
