Okay,

I know some forum members have done this.

I am using a 5900 with a DWIN Transcanner on a DWIN HD 700. The Transcanner gives me progressive output so I use the 5900's interlaced output.

I bought the 5900 instead of the 5050 as I wanted to get DVD Audio and I was not sure whther DCDI applies to the interlaced output or not but the picture quality of the 5900 is amazing as compared to the Sony DVP 770 it replaced.

I have the following Questions:

1. Am I using the dcdi advantage using the interlaced output component out?

2. If I Daisy chain a 5050 which is without DCDI, to the 5900, if the image processing done inside the 5900? In other words, the output would be same as 5900.

3. If using Interlaced out with a good scaler, is it better to go with the 5050 in the first place (cost benefit)

When I am ready to get the second changer the above answers will help me decide whther I should get a 5900 or a 5050.

Thanks In Advance.

Ash
