I would be concerned about internal damage. If that was dropped, then it is very likely that the internal optics have been knocked out of alignment.


If you have the opportunity to see it in action BEFORE you commit, then you might consider it. Otherwise, I would pass.

do you really have a use for a 5000 lumen 1024x768 PJ?

No idea, first time HT projector buyer. Will be watching for sports and movies only. I'm a real cheap-ass DIY'er and just want to make sure i get a good deal. 5,000 did seem excessive.

oem lamp is almost 500$ knock off look to be 400ish-

I buy a fair amount of used stuff. I wouldn't touch that with the proverbial 10 foot pole.


If you want a home theater projector, I would find a projector that did at least 720P natively.
