Things look a bit dark in some shows on my e450 using -1 gamma. What is the difference between using the rgb bias controls and the brightness control for adjusting the dark levels and midtones?

I'm wondering why on a black screen if you turn up the brightness the dithering gets more noticable, but when turning up bias controls the dithering does not change?

Using your bias, or cutoff controls the low end of the grey scale. It acts more like a contrast control for Red Green and Blue for the dark end of the grey scale.
