Since I painted the walls in my HT room I cannot get my projector to recieve a signal from where I normally sit. If I move the remote 5' closer (ie stand up and take a few steps) the remote works just fine. Or if I lean far forward and point it up at the projector it works.

I painted with a flat dark grey on the walls and a flat very dark grey on the ceiling.

Just a warning, that is all. I am going to pull out my IR blaster to help the situation.

Well, that's not really true in MOST cases. My HT is a very dark gray and remote performance is not affected. The only way it could possibly affect IR transmission is if you were "bouncing" signals off walls. (ie if your equip was in the back of the room and you pointed the remote off the front wall)

Sounds like you were probably getting some "bounce" originally and have now lost that.

Otherwise, it is not as though the paint is interfering with your signal...IR is a line-of-sight beam...dark paint molecules are not coming off the walls and getting in the way.

The other possibility is that your batteries are getting weaker and it is just a coincedence.

Since I have a projector, yes, I was reflecting the signal.
