I've seen topics on this for years but never read them.

I was having some trouble with a networked 4504 -- it seemed to be cut off from my other 4504. I checked all the connections and rebooted the bridge and the router to no avail.

So I rebooted the unit that was not connecting, and I have had the flashing red light for the better part of an hour.

Any suggestions?

Disconnect everything from the unit with the exception of one video out (RCA or coax). Try rebooting again... and again. Be sure to wait a good long time for the unit to possibly come up. If it does, you should be able to reconnect your network cable, etc. and be back in business.

If not, then you may have to re-image the disk. It would be a good time to upgrade and put a bigger disk in maybe at the same time.

I second that. If it won't boot with all the cables except video disconnected, you'll need to remove the hard drive and reimage it with a downloaded disk image. There is even a possibility the hard drive is defective.
