Date for Hipix software update release?

I miss those features as well.

I switched from the Access dtv card which had those controls.

I am pretty close to making the switch as well.

I'm not sure I'm following this thread. Are you requesting the controls because you're using a standard computer monitor or as additional controls to an HDTV? I really don't see much - if any - difference between my tuner and the HiPix tuner on my HD set.

Would the new software happen to include a software DVD player I hope ? Or can you discuss what 3rd party software is included. Just hoping . John

Don’t know about that either. Telemann didn’t tell me what the 3rd party software holdup was and I didn’t ask.

This seems to be a popular feature, B & C that is, but still no word on release date?


Cliff, if you do speak with Telemann can you post the expected date? You are over there playing with some cool updates and products (hipix, M-Audio HT card) - help us out here, we need a new fix from something cool!

I guess I should have said hardware DVD player. That is what I meant. I think we all know the scaling ability of the HiPix. Also it seems to produce better blacks than any of the video cards I have used. Who knows this would open up the market for those that are not able to receive over the air HDTV content yet.

We may be close to something like this. Teleman has responded to its users in the past to accommodate their needs. Heres to hoping . John

Wow, if Hipix does provide very high quality DVD support. I can still keep my Geforce 3 for 3d gaming/desktop and use a Hipix card for (HDTV/DVD).
