SO i get home, pop the brand new disk into my HTPC and up pops an error..


"This encrypted disk will not play while TV out option enabled".


So I pout, and turn off tv out, and ...


"CSS Error -- Ecnryption on this DVD is not compaitble with your current DVD Decoder"


I do not have this issue with any of my other disks... Why this one?


Is this the future of DVDs?

Never ever seen this one as well.I'm sure others that own it will chime in soon with their experience with it..I should have it by the weekend and then check it out.

Huh, usually a PC will play anything. Not good. Bad disc?

Sounds like it might be a simple RCE error. Make sure all your software/hardware is set to Region 1 and not region-free. There are many third-party software solutions you can use to do this and still remain effectively region-free.

It's all region 1.. same as it has been for the last year.

It doesn't work on ANY of my pc's, (HT, Office) nor my laptop.

Gona try the ps/2 next ...

No problem last night on my HTPC. I use WinDVD5.

No problems on my HTPC using TheaterTek...it also worked on my son's PS/2 as well as our Xbox.

I believe there were some early video card drivers that didn't implement Macrovision correctly (or at all). I get this message on one of my machines with the old drivers.
