Did anyone else's guide not update to reflect DST? My guide has the correct shows, but has the wrong time. It's still an hour behind. Am I supposed to fix this manually?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

My UTVs are still on Standard Time (1 hour behind), but all of the recordings today shifted themselves 1 hour earlier, so it didn't affect anything. I remember going through this mess twice a year, every year for the past 5 years (I had the same problem with my regular receivers). It is a pain, but I think if you wait a day or two, it fixes itself. -TJ

Same situation here. I *KNOW* mine were updated earlier, that's how I remembered the time change. My wife said "oh, the clocks are wrong." I hit info and checked time on the UTV and sure enough it was up to date. Sometime later we noticed it had moved back an hour, but all the guide information was correct. I'm in Texas which is Central. Everybody experiencing this or has DTV screwed up one of their timezones?

Huh, how about that! My UTV has gone back, as well. I know it was on the correct time before. I think mine switched back this evening - maybe around 11PM. It said it wasn't doing to record The Dead Zone series (it even said it was preempted) then it started recording at midnight. The funny thing is the upcoming shows menu originally said it was scheduled until midnight, then it decided it was at 11, said it was pre-empted, then began recording it at midnight.

Very strange....

It gets stranger: All the times for the upcoming records are set an hour earlier. The time is still off, but it seems to be compensating somehow by shifting all the record times an hour earlier. I'm going to turn it off overnight and see what it says tomorrow. If it doesn't fix itself, I might try unplugging to see if it updates itself when it re-aquires the guide data.

My sister has digital cable and I noticed her system had the same problem moving ahead last DST, but the guide listed all the correct times for the shows. What I'm experiencing is just weird.

NetworkTV,

I know that this is a little off subject but three times now when I have pulled up my guide it went backwards in time. I thought that I was going crazy but it did do it. I think that I've seen a post about this but couldn't find it.

Am I crazy or does it happen to some of you also?

I also had the same problem, does the change fine but then somehow got off. All the shows that start at 10 are listed at 9 and the guide says 9 when its really 10. Going to just let it sit there and see how long it takes to fix itself sense all shows are being recorded.

There is an easy fix for this just go Home -> Settings -> Hooking up -> Time Zone -> (change it to any setting other than what its at) -> Done -> Time Zone -> (change it back to where the correct time zone) -> Done

This fixed all 3 of mine.

A call to DirecTV instructed me to 1) Remove the access card. 2) unplug for 15 seconds. 3) plug back in. 4) wait until receiver said to insert access card. After doing this to two of my UTVs, the time issue was fixed. Not so on the third UTV. Will wait for a day or two and see.

I think CSR must have a little card on their monitors that quote that procedure. It seems to be their stock answer for everything except for billing issues. :)

OTOH, it also usually fixes 60% of receiver issues.

Odd you mention this, this happened to me last night. I could go back in time several hours. When I exited the guide, then immediately when back in it was corrected.

Yep, fixed mine. I hope it holds. I didn't want to turn it off since I have recordings coming up in about in hour and didn't want to risk it might not get the guide info fast enough.

Good tip. Maybe it has to conform the time when you make the change, so it is then able to get the right one.

Sometimes if there is a show that is halfway through somewhere else in the guide it seems to think you can go backwards to its start time. Then it allows you to keep going back further fo some reason.

Also, if you use CMD and back arrow you can go backward, as well (after you go foward first). The expired guide will show up in another color. It doesn't always work, either, though. Sometimes it will peg itself back to the current time.
