Crank up the contrast during the day and move it back down at night. That is why you bought an RPTV otherwise you could've bought an FPTV. You don't want it to last forever do you? I have a 10 year old Mits 45" that still has an extremely bright picture with this type of usage. I doubt if anyones room is brighter during the day than mine.
